2017 Babies

I love babies! I think it has something to do with me growing up as the oldest girl in the house. I have an older brother but then 4 younger sisters and 2 younger brothers. I acted like I was the second mom in our family. I absolutely LOVED it! We are all about a year and a half apart so we are very close to each other. We are so blessed to have been raised in a large family. It doesn't happen much now a days. My parents did an amazing job raising us with importance placed on God and family. We will always have each other and love can help us conquer anything! My sisters mean the world to me and I definitely cherish our childhood memories.

We are now at the point in our lives where we are starting our own families and 2017 was a huge boost for that. My 4 sisters and a sister-in-law, Hanna, all had babies within a 5 month time span! I am so thankful that I was able to capture some of their first days on this earth. Lord willing, these cousins will grow up together as best friends. Welcome baby Kiley, Alice, Kinsley, Morgan and Jude!

Photographing newborns is definitely unpredictable. This is why I like to capture babies as they are; sleeping, wide awake, snuggling with mom and dad and relaxing in mom's arms. Babies don't often like being in their birthday suits so I stay away from that and try to keep them warm with their clothes or blankets. It's just important to capture these little babies within their first few days because they grow up so fast. I like to freeze that moment in time forever!
